Your first session in ROB RUN

ROB RUN drops you into a crime sandbox where the other criminals and police officers are real players. Kefir's free-to-play PC game mixes city heists, a dangerous desert, player-built hideouts and fights for influence. Your first useful goal is modest: understand the city, get a weapon, and learn what you can lose before taking an expensive loadout outside. You can work alone, but choosing a shared server with friends early makes the next steps easier.

Begin with the introductory quests, then visit Lenny at his Motel to learn the core mechanics. After that, ROB RUN opens into several paths: heists, hauling cargo, production at your base, joining the police, and territorial competition. These are choices rather than a mandatory linear campaign. Pick one activity to learn, make a short trip, and review what happened before committing everything you have to a bigger operation.

Use the session checklist above as your own planning aid. It saves your selections in this browser, so you can return between sessions. It does not read your ROB RUN account or automatically detect quests. Start by agreeing on a server with your crew, finishing the introduction, locating Lenny, and choosing an affordable first objective. The checklist is an editorial starting plan, not a quest reward tracker.

Find your first ROB RUN weapon

Weapons in ROB RUN can be found as city loot or purchased through the Black Market. Lenny gives you direct access, and the laptop at your base is another route. This means you have a way to recover after a bad run without assuming an expensive gun must come from a particular enemy. Learn these access points before you start carrying equipment that would be difficult to replace.

Kefir's launch changes reduced the basic pistol price and added starter weapon spawn points around the city. The same announcement limited patrol cops to pistols when a fresh server opens, with better police equipment unlocking as the server ages. A clip recorded on an older ROB RUN server can therefore show a very different fight from the one you encounter at the start of a new cycle.

Build your first ROB RUN loadout around replacement cost, not just damage. Before leaving, ask whether you can afford another weapon if this one disappears and whether your destination requires carrying all your cash. This is risk-management advice based on the published loss rules, not a claim about the strongest ROB RUN weapon. Fixed item prices and spawn coordinates are deliberately absent here because those details need their own current evidence.

Know what death costs in ROB RUN

ROB RUN does not apply one identical death penalty everywhere. Your role, location and circumstances matter. In Looty Bay, a Criminal loses their inventory on death. Surrendering to the Police can preserve equipped gear. Treat that as a specific city rule; it is not a promise that surrender protects every item or that every type of surrender has the same result.

Published death rules at a glance
SituationWhat happens
Criminal dies in Looty BayInventory is lost.
Criminal surrenders to PoliceEquipped gear can be preserved.
Death in the desertAll loot is lost.
Civilian dies in the cityBag contents and equipped gear are kept.
Police Officer diesDepartment-issued gear is lost; personal items and equipment remain.

The desert is the clearest boundary for a new ROB RUN player: dying there means losing all your loot. Before crossing into it, decide what you are prepared to lose and what belongs back at your hideout. The table describes death rules, not protection from theft, raids or the Federal Raid. Those are separate risks, and a safe outcome under one rule does not cancel the others.

Protect your ROB RUN cash during the week

To open a bank account in ROB RUN, visit the Looty Bay Bank as a Civilian. Once the account is open, run cash through the Laundering Desk at your base. Laundering takes time, so it is part of your session planning rather than an instant escape button. Money processed this way is protected from theft until the next wipe, and you can withdraw cash at an ATM.

That last boundary matters: banked money is protected from theft, not from the ROB RUN wipe. Avoid treating a growing bank balance as a permanent account upgrade. Your practical choice is how much cash you need available for the current session and how much you want protected while the cycle continues. There is no verified universal percentage to bank, so choose around your actual purchases and risk.

The launch economy update increased cash found in dumpsters and profits from base businesses, while changing shipment dismantling and selling. It also increased the cash capacity of the laundering desk. Those changes explain why older ROB RUN money advice may no longer match the current economy. Use them as context, not as a guaranteed hourly income figure or a promise that any single activity always pays best.

Build your ROB RUN hideout with a purpose

A ROB RUN hideout lets you build and upgrade a base, store loot and vehicles, and place workbenches and safes. Think about the job you want the base to do first: a place to organize equipment, support production, or prepare a shared operation. A larger pile of assets also gives rivals more to pursue, so expansion and protection belong in the same plan.

Tier-one settlements and land rentals were changed to cost documents instead of cash in the launch update. Check the requirement displayed in your current game before following a cash-only guide. That change does not establish the price of every land tier, building or upgrade. ROB RUN is in Early Access, and a useful base plan should leave room for balance changes without depending on an unverified shopping list.

Clans support coordinated raids, territorial control and alliances, while solo play remains possible. Before committing to a group in ROB RUN, agree on the server and the kind of activity you want to share. For an immediate party problem, follow our ROB RUN server and friends guide. It gives the official prison-based transfer procedure and separates a server mismatch from an unavailable server.

Plan for the ROB RUN Federal Raid

The Federal Raid is the ROB RUN wipe. Kefir describes a seven-day cycle in which plots, bases, weapons and cash reset and are converted into jail time and authority. Cosmetics, player name, tutorial progress, settings and accumulated jail time carry over. This makes the week a complete competitive cycle, rather than an unlimited period of accumulating buildings and equipment.

Before a longer session, find out which server your crew is using and what timing information is actually available. Our ROB RUN wipe guide includes a reset comparison and a planning calculator. The calculator adds seven days to a timestamp you supply; it cannot identify your server or certify its raid time. Use an in-game announcement over an estimate if they disagree.

If your ROB RUN progress appears missing, first check whether a wipe occurred and whether you are signed into the correct Steam account. For an unexpected loss, prepare your UID, player name and the approximate time for support. Avoid assuming that a normal cycle reset is a broken save, or that reinstalling the game will restore assets removed by the Federal Raid.

PC requirements and getting into ROB RUN

ROB RUN is available on Steam as a free-to-play Early Access game with online PvP and co-op. It uses Easy Anti-Cheat. The published requirements call for a 64-bit Windows 10 or later system, DirectX 11, broadband internet and 20 GB of available storage. Early Access means the game is playable while features, balance and network stability continue to change.

ROB RUN questions, answered

What should I do after the ROB RUN tutorial?

Visit Lenny at his Motel for the core mechanics, then choose a direction such as heists, cargo, base production, police work or territory. For your first ROB RUN session, focus on one activity and a loadout you can replace.

Can I join a friend on another ROB RUN server?

Yes. The official ROB RUN help procedure uses the global map, Prison and Surrender to Feds, followed by selecting the friend's server inside the prison and resending the invite. Read the full server guide before confirming a transfer.

Does my ROB RUN bank balance survive a wipe?

No. ROB RUN laundering protects money from theft until the next wipe. Cash belongs to the assets reset in the Federal Raid, while the listed persistent items include cosmetics and accumulated jail time.

Is this the official ROB RUN website?

No. This is an independent player guide. The game is developed and published by Kefir. Our explanations use published game information, and our planning tools do not connect to your account or control the servers.
